Design and validate mathematical models for slot games ensuring optimal RTP and player engagement
About the role
As a Math Modeler at Platin Gaming, you'll be responsible for creating the mathematical foundation of our slot games. This role combines statistical analysis, probability theory, and game design to create engaging and commercially viable game mechanics.
You'll work closely with game designers and developers to define paytables, feature mechanics, and bonus round mathematics while ensuring regulatory compliance and business objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Design mathematical models for slot games including RTP, volatility, and hit frequency
- Create and verify paytables and prize structures
- Model bonus features and free spin mechanics
- Perform statistical simulations to validate game mathematics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (MGA, UKGC, etc.)
- Optimize game performance based on player data
- Document mathematical specifications
- Provide expertise on game balancing and player experience
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in slot game mathematics or similar field
- Strong background in probability theory and statistics
- Experience with mathematical simulation tools (MATLAB, R, Python)
- Deep understanding of RTP, volatility, and other slot metrics
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for gaming mathematics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field preferred
- Experience with certification processes (GLI, BMM, etc.) is a plus
