About the role
We're seeking a talented Game Artist/Animator to create beautiful 2D assets and animations for our slot games. You'll bring game concepts to life through compelling visual design, character animation, and special effects that enhance player engagement.
Working in our Sliema studio, you'll collaborate with game designers and developers to create cohesive visual experiences across our game portfolio, from initial concept art through final implementation.
Responsibilities
- Create 2D game assets including symbols, backgrounds, and UI elements
- Develop character designs and animations for slot themes
- Produce special effects and winning celebrations
- Optimize assets for performance across devices
- Maintain consistent visual style across game portfolio
- Work with technical artists on shader effects
- Create mockups and style guides
- Iterate designs based on feedback and testing
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in 2D game art and animation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Experience with Spine or similar 2D animation tools
- Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Portfolio demonstrating game art and animation skills
- Experience with asset optimization for mobile and web
- Knowledge of various art styles (realistic, cartoon, fantasy)
- Ability to work within technical constraints
